A grasshopper trying to blend in with it's surroundings. 
I don't see very many of these critters around anymore, though, that could just be because I live in the city. I just remember seeing more grasshoppers when I was younger than I do now.

It is definitely because you are in the city ;-P They are all over the place, and at times there are places that still have swarms of them, Colorado has them every so many years, we get them every year in Oklahoma.
